Member Overview
Coega Steels (Pty) Ltd was founded by three South African entrepreneurs with a vision to transform ferrous scrap into high-quality steel. After gaining international expertise, they established a steel recycling facility in the Eastern Cape. Commercial production began in 2014, and the company has since expanded to 240,000 MT annually. With future plans for a rolling mill, Coega Steels aims to boost local manufacturing, support South Africa’s steel industry, and create 900 jobs.
