Unica Iron and Steel is a leading manufacturer of light and medium structural steel. We are located in the Babelegi Area in Pretoria, Gauteng.
Established in 2006, the company has grown to over 800 staff operating from a 36000m2 facility where the company has garnered a reputation for manufacturing quality light structural sections (window sections, square bar and angle iron) commercially.
Instead of using iron ore, Unica Iron and Steel melts iron scrap, then rolls the resultant billets into structural steel. This fully integrated mini steel plant is the first of its kind in South Africa, with the concept originating from China and India.
Always intent on innovation and the highest quality standards, Unica is proud to be the first steel mill in South Africa to receive all the ISO integrated management systems accreditations: ISO9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018
