Primary Steel Product Imports – May 2022

According to data released by the South African Revenue Service, imports of primary carbon and alloy steel products (excluding semis, stainless steel and drawn wire) during the twelve months of June 2021 to May 2022 amount to 1 147 769 tonnes, a decrease of 4,6% compared with 1 203 569 tonnes of primary carbon and alloy steel products imported during the corresponding twelve-month period.
